The 2026 Jeep® Recon marks a bold leap into the electric future as the first fully electric, Trail Rated SUV in the industry. Designed from the ground up for adventure, it combines legendary Jeep 4×4 capability with the benefits of electrification, proving that zero emissions and serious off-road performance can coexist.
Built on a dedicated electric platform, the Jeep Recon features standard all-electric four-wheel drive powered by dual front and rear electric drive modules. Together, they produce an impressive 650 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of instant torque, enabling rapid acceleration from 0–60 mph in as little as 3.6 seconds. With an estimated range of up to 250 miles, the Recon balances trail-ready strength with everyday usability.
True to Jeep DNA, capability is front and center. The Selec-Terrain system offers multiple drive modes for varying conditions, with the Moab trim adding a specialized Rock mode for extreme off-road situations. Features such as an electronic locking rear differential, Selec-Speed Control for low-speed crawling, and a robust underbody protection system ensure confidence on challenging terrain. The Moab trim also delivers 9.1 inches of ground clearance, aggressive approach and departure angles, and standard 33-inch tires.
The Recon’s suspension setup provides a refined balance between comfort and control, while its 100-kWh battery pack is well protected for rugged use. Automatic front axle disconnects improve efficiency during normal driving, helping maximize range without sacrificing capability when it matters most.
Visually, the Jeep Recon blends heritage-inspired design with modern electric styling. Signature elements include an illuminated seven-slot grille, U-shaped LED lighting, and Wrangler-inspired taillamps. Staying true to Jeep’s open-air tradition, the Recon offers removable doors, rear quarter glass, and swing gate glass—unique features in the EV segment. A standard dual-pane sunroof or available Sky One-Touch power top enhances the open-air experience, while a rear-mounted full-size spare reinforces its trail-ready character.
Inside, the Recon pairs rugged utility with refined innovation. The cabin features a clean, horizontal layout with durable materials, smart storage solutions, and modular elements designed for adventure. With nearly 66 cubic feet of cargo space, a functional front trunk, and customizable interior storage, the Recon is ready for long trips or weekend escapes. Recycled and sustainable materials are used throughout, reflecting Jeep’s commitment to a more responsible future.
Technology plays a major role in the Recon’s appeal. Over 26 inches of digital display space includes a 12.3-inch driver cluster and a massive 14.5-inch central touchscreen, powered by the latest Uconnect 5 system. Integrated navigation, EV-specific data, and the Trails Offroad app provide valuable tools for both daily driving and trail exploration. Premium Alpine audio comes standard, uniquely engineered to deliver consistent sound quality even with the doors removed.
Set to begin production early next year at the Toluca Assembly Plant, the 2026 Jeep Recon starts at $65,000 (excluding destination). Launching first in the U.S. and Canada, the Recon represents a significant milestone for the brand—an electric SUV that stays true to Jeep’s core values of freedom, adventure, and uncompromising capability.
